University Village Park & Wm Morris Hall

Like many students I discovered Loughborough through the university. I therefore have very close links with the University, not only through my work in IT Services, but socially and in my daily work as a councillor and as a volunteer for various campus activities including the Olympics and lately with the University apiary.

As the County Councillor for North West Loughborough I welcome all students to the town and particularly those in the student village whom I represent: Cayley, Claudia Parsons, Elvyn Richards, Robert Bakewell, Faraday, Hazelrigg-Rutland, John Phillips, Royce, Rutherford and Telford Halls of Residence. Other Halls lie in different Wards. William Morris Hall also falls into the area I represent which extends northwards across Thorpe Acre to the Black Brook.

I have promised to do what I can to maintain the strong community ethos traditional in Loughborough's student halls. Wardens, sub-wardens, staff and hall committees all do a great job.

Student union building
I provide a unique bridge between the University and Town communities and work very hard to ensure the best possible relations. I hope you have an brilliant and successful year in every way.

I am a Labour councillor but strive to represent everyone fairly, regardless of politics.
